Season for Mera Peak Climbing:
April and May and from September to November months of the year, best for climb and trek to Mera Peak, where April and May most days are clear for views of mountains and pleasant walk and climb with longer sunlight hours due to spring season.
When wildflowers especially rhododendron and magnolia in bloom around the forested area of Inku valley on route Mera Peak base camp.
Next best months September to November although cold in the morning and night time with freezing temperatures around higher hills, but with the fine clear day where sunlight hours are much short due to autumn/fall season.
Introduction:
Mera Peak Climbing is an adventure around remote and isolated corners of the high Khumbu area within the Everest region, located further northeast close to Makalu and Baruntse Himal, a wonderful walk that leads you into beautiful Inku valley.
Mera Peak Climbing where the grade is taken from French and Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification Systems as ‘F’ which means “Facial Easy”, one of the highest trekking peaks of Nepal at 6,461 m / 21, 1907 ft high, and yet of less technical difficulty.
Where beginners and veteran trekkers, climbers and adventurers can join on this marvelous adventure with a climb on top Mera Peak where you can experience the highest elevation gain of your life-time with fascinating views of high peaks that surround you on the top of Mera Peak.
Mera Peak Climbing starts with a short flight from Kathmandu to land at Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla, a famous and popular Sherpa town and gateway to many various treks and adventure around Everest and high Khumbu region.
Where our walk takes you away from villages into a serene forested area and then over a high ridge and pass that separates from other popular trekking areas of Khumbu, as the adventure continues reaching into a nice Inku valley covered with grazing fields and dense rhododendron and pine trees.
Soon walk leads past green tree lines and vegetation to reach at the arctic zone of ice and glaciers at Mera Peak base camp, with enough time for rest and acclimatization then getting ready for the big climb to the summit of Mera Peak.
After a hard struggle of less technical effort, reaching on top rewards you with mind-blowing views of the high mountain range with Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, and Baruntse where views reach as far towards Kanchenjunga range in the east.
Enjoying great times and then walk towards Lukla, after an adventure on Mera Peak climb, from Lukla taking a pleasant scenic flight to Kathmandu after a wonderful time and marvelous experience on Mera Peak Climbing.
Short Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu via various airlines and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: In Kathmandu with a sightseeing tour and trek preparation.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m and trek to Chutanga 3,340 m – 04 hrs.
Day 04: Trek to Thuli Kharka 4,360 m – 06 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Mosum Kharka 3,425 m-04 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Thaknag 4,365 m – 05 hrs.
Day 07: Rest day at Thaknag for acclimatization.
Day 08: Trek to Khare at Mera Base Camp 5,300 m – 05 hrs
Day 09: At base camp rest and preparation for the climb.
Day 10: Trek and climb to High Camp 5,780 m – 04 hrs
Day 11: Climb Mera Summit on top 6,461 m / 21, 1907 ft – 08 hrs
Day 12: Reserve and contingency day in case of bad weather conditions.
Day 13: Trek to Khothe 3,600 – 06 hrs.
Day 14: Trek to Thuli Kharka – 05 hrs.
Day 15: Trek back to Chutanga – 05 hrs.
Day 16: Trek to Lukla – 04 hrs with afternoon free at leisure.
Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel with afternoon free at leisure.
Day 18: Spare and contingency day in Kathmandu in case of flight delay and cancellation.
Day 19: International departure to respective countries homeward bound.

- Personal Trekking gear and climbing equipment, down or duvet jackets, sleeping bags. (Sleeping bags and down jackets and climbing equipment can hire in Kathmandu at reasonable cost)
- Emergency Evacuation by any means of Transportations and personal medical kit.
- Early return from the trips or breaking up the journey due to personal / medical reason clients has to bear extra expenses in Kathmandu or on route with related expenses as there will be no refund from the company in such situation.
