Season for Mt. Everest Expedition and Trekking:
April and May and from September to early November months of the year, best for mountaineering expeditions and trek from March till May when most days are clear for views of mountains and pleasant walks with longer sunlight hours due to spring season, where wildflowers especially rhododendron and magnolia in bloom around mid-green hills.
Next best months from September to early November although cold in the morning and night time with freezing temperatures around higher hills, but with the fine clear day but sunlight hours due to autumn/fall and pre-winter season, few mountaineers dare around autumn/fall season.
The high peak times from March till May when mountaineers are busy and active from base camp onwards.
Introduction:
Mt. Everest South Col Expedition an adventure that takes you around Nepal Far North Mid-East Himalaya range, where the southern side of Mt. Everest located in Nepal and the North Col within Tibet / China.
Most of the early successful ascent done from the Nepal side of Everest South Col the route as used by legendry Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary in the way back 1953 on British Expedition to Mt. Everest and created the history reaching on top of the world.
Mt. Everest with several names where Nepalese calls Sagarmatha and the Sherpa as well Tibetan knows as Chomolungma in both languages means a ‘Great Mother’, National Geography also tagged as ‘Third Pole’ the summit of Mt. Everest, while for most it’s the Roof Top of the World.
Mt. Everest South Col Expedition with All Nepal Excursion Treks and Expedition have carefully designed and planned the itinerary days, which allows much space and flexibility for the climb to world highest peak Mt. Everest towers at the height of 8,848.86 m and 29,032 ft.

On reaching the base camp with full camping equipment where, you need to set own camps as well cooking your meals, on climb our expert Sherpa mountaineering guides will reach you safely on top as well with safe descend.
Mt. Everest South Col Expedition one of the most popular routes due to its accessibility the only toughest section going through notorious massive Khumbu Ice-Falls, where trekkers require highly safety measures.
After Khumbu Ice Fall it is all like any other mountaineering climb to reach the highest top of the world, where route takes you from famous Hillary step above South Col, at the top facing mountains range below you with views of Khumbu and Rongbuk valley within across the border in Tibetan side.

Short Outline Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, greet and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02-04: Half day Kathmandu sightseeing tour with trek and climbing preparation/briefing.
Day 05: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m and trek to Phakding 2,640 m – 04 hrs.
Day 06: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m – 05 hrs.
Day 07: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
Day 08: Trek to Tengboche 3,867 m – 05 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m – 05hrs.
Day 10: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion.
Day 11: Trek to Lobuche 4,890 m – 08 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Everest Base Camp 5,364 m with a climb on top Kalapathar at 5,545 m.
Day 13-14: Rest days at Everest base camp for full preparation.
Day 15-34: Climbing period and back at Everest base camp (allocated full 20 days).
Day 35: Packing and cleaning of base camp.
Day 36: Trek to Pangboche 3,900 m – 06 hrs.
Day 37: Trek to Namche Bazaar via Tengboche Monastery – 06 hrs.
Day 38: Trek to Lukla for a final overnight stop in Khumbu and Everest area.
Day 39: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel with afternoon free at leisure.
Day 40-41: Spare and contingency day in Kathmandu in case of flight delay and cancellation.
Day 42: International departure to respective countries homeward bound.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, greet and transfer to the hotel.
Upon arrival at Kathmandu international airport where you will be received by All Nepal Excursion's staff and guides for the short drive to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city around the most interesting area in Thamel.
On checking your rooms, getting refreshed join with other expedition members for briefing provided by our guide and group leader.
Evening enjoys group dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese restaurant with a live cultural program to entertain you with dinner.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla 2,820 m and trek to Phakding 2,640 m - 04 hrs.
Early morning depart from the hotel for exciting flight to reach Lukla around Nepal Far Mid East, a busy town with a unique small airport named ‘Tenzing and Hillary’, famous legendry mountaineers to conquer Mt. Everest in early 1955.
From Lukla first day walk begins with downhill following Dudh Kosi River to reach Phakding village for the overnight stop.
Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar 3,440 m - 05 hrs.
Morning a pleasant walk into pines and rhododendron tree lines with views of the snow-capped peak, the walk follows upstream crossing over bridges to enter Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo.
Sagarmatha Park listed in world heritage sites, the trail follows to a high bridge and climb to Namche Bazaar, a colorful large village, nearly a size of a town with many good houses serving as hotels and lodge.
At Namche Bazaar facilities of ATM, Banks, post office, Cyber Café, Trekking / Climbing shops with stores and café, bakeries, restaurants facing views of Kwangde peaks towards the south.
Day 04: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization and excursion.
Namche Bazaar an ideal spot for rest day and acclimatization at 3,440 meters high before heading higher elevation. The morning after breakfast take a short walk to the top of Namche at Park headquarter area with a museum full of information regarding the Khumbu / Everest area of Sherpa religions, culture, history, mountaineering to flora and flora.
High hill of Namche offers stunning views of Amadablam, Tharmarserku, Kantega, Kwangde, Khumbila with Mt. Everest and Lhotse towards North, after an impressive morning head back to lodge for lunch with afternoon free to relax and catch up with the dairy and browse around the street of Namche, where once a week Saturday market/bazaar takes place.
Day 05: Trek to Tengboche 3,867 m - 05hrs.
After a pleasant rest day at Namche, morning leads to a short climb and then on the nice scenic trail within rhododendron and pine trees with views of Amadablam and Everest.
As walk then descends to Imjatse River at Phunge Tenga, a small place with few tea shops, a favorite lunch stop place.
With the refreshing stop, the second half of the journey leads to climbing for a few hours into the cool shade of the forest to reach on tNamche Bazaar an ideal spot for rest day and acclimatization at 3,440 meters high before heading higher elevation. A scenic spot with grand views of Amadablam, Kantega, Thamersarkhu, Kwangde and Mt. Everest, a holy spot as the head lama (Rinpoche) of the monastery resides here.
At Tengboche monastery mountaineers also get blessed from high lama (priest) for a successful and safe climb.
Day 06: Trek to Dingboche 4,260 m - 05hrs.
Morning enjoys the panorama of mountains with Everest, after breakfast downhill into nice rhododendron and pines forest, a pleasant walk to reach a bridge over Imja Khola.
From here a slow climb to reach Pangboche village this is a last permanent village on route Everest Base Camp after Pangboche tree lines end for short rhododendron and juniper bushes.
Walk slowly leads with views of Mt. Amadablam at close distance, after a nice day trek reaching at Dingboche for the overnight stop.
Day 07: Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization and excursion.
A pleasant rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization so that all can enjoy walks to reach base camp safe and sound; from here altitude gains rapidly.
Dingboche offers views of Amadablam North Face with Island / Imjatse Peak, includes Nuptse and Lhotse mountains, a short high climb to a high ridge provides views of the world’s 5th highest Mt. Makalu and Amphu Labtsa peaks.

- Early return from the trips or breaking up the journey due to personal / medical reason clients has to bear extra expenses in Kathmandu or on route with related expenses as there will be no refund from the company in such situation.
